GH Overload-February 7, 2010

I haven't watched GH in over a month. I read up on it on various blogs (Serial Drama is the best!) but overall I've been staying away and it has been a great thing.

I was doing good and then we got hit with a blizzard, so I said hey let me catch up on whatever shows are still on the TIVO. Okay a whole months worth of GH episodes remained. That's shock one. Shock two, some of the shows rocked, I mean they were so riveting or emotion packed that I couldn't believe it was GH, I mean it wasn't just really good soap which is odd for GH, it was just really good drama! But last night I caught up...and I'm saddened to say that we are back in sonnyville worship land and I'm so heavily disappointed that I woke up, after a restless sleep, and had to blog to get this GH drama off my mind!
How sad...I'm going to stop watching again..

But before that lets talk about the entire month of January's episodes!

James Franco is gone! Thank goodness. I mean I thought he himself was very entertaining. Kind of like something shiny that catches your eye for a brief moment and then the fascination is gone. His lines were funny, his acting was cynical - in essence he seemed to play the story line like it was indeed ridiculously hilarious. I'm not gaga over Franco (he's handsome yes but he doesn't make my heart aflutter-see Steve Burton-ha) so I was just glad when he finally exited 'cause the hype was all over a "movie star" daring to grace a lowly soap with his glorious presence. Which is very demeaning to regular soap viewers and to soap actors who regularly give this swill (see raggedy writing!) their constant 100% efforts. Hey, how in the heck did I get into all that. Back to love/hate. So again glad the Franco debacle ended and it wasn't with a bang, it was really like whatev...fade out. He was Guza's personification of "I HEART JASON" out loud and on screen daily for 4-6 weeks and it was really kind of pathetic. I mean of course in comparison to the usual Jason and Sonny barely underscored LOVE and WORSHIP that we are used to seeing daily. It was extremely overt... LOL.

But let's get to what's really got my mind all frazzled. Dominic/Dante. I prefer the name Dominic for one, Dante only sounds good when Olivia says it. I just don't see him as a Dante. Now the actor/the man himself is quickly usurping Steve Burton's place in my heart and from what I see most of the GH audience absolutely loves him as well. He (Dominic Zamprogna-sp?) rocks. He is just flat out good, and to add to it he actually has chemistry with Lulu and their love/romance had an actual slow build which has been awesome to watch. His cockiness, charm and pursuit of her was great. I mean just good writing. That of course comes from a place of "sick of seeing woman FLUNG at Sonny and they have no chemistry and they hop into bed after saying hello!" And then just as quickly they are unceremoniously tossed aside after serving, what purpose, other than to give MB his quota of screen time and mattress bopping.

Ugh..I didnt want to go there already. Back to good stuff. Dominic rocks. I have no better way of saying it, juvenile as it may sound. That man, and that character has been and I'm saddened now to say, was AWESOME.

Which leads to me my current depressed state. I hate that I allowed this show to do this to me. I mean we all knew it was coming. C'mon already! But we just didn't see the anger inducing manner that they were gonna spin it, especially after building Dominic up to be so awesome and such a great cop. But C'mon seriously!!??? Sonny shoots him in the chest at point blank range and SERIOUSLY!!!!??? I don't care if he is his father... NO WAIT!! If anything that should have solidified his convictions about this man needing to serve time even more. He's horrible, TO and FOR his children and for the world in general!!! He is not a great man or a great FATHER! He only feels guilty now that he knows Dominic is his son, and yes of course, none of this is his fault, it's all Olivia's fault-  SHE could have prevented it. Seriously?!!  She could have prevented Sonny from killing and wrecking havoc, huh?

Sonny is a gangster, he without hesitation and without a bit of angst  SHOT A MAN IN THE CHEST WHO saved, hmm let's count now... HIM, HIS SON, HIS BEST FRIENDS DAUGHTER and then did countless other good deeds (like reigning in your other miserable rotten spoiled other kids!) but because he was a cop, killing him was justified!!!???? And solely because said cop is blood related, NOW Sonny is so torn.

I hate you GH writers and directors and producers!!!! Are you freaking kidding me? Again..I say... ????!!!!!?????.  This freaking show. C'mon!! Yes, it's making me see red.

Okay, let me ease my rage induced blogging by focusing back on stellar performances. The romantic build up, where Lulu and Dominic kept interacting over her family drama, and over his cop issues was great. I was drawn in, I couldnt wait to see the next episode. I smiled at their conversations and their romance had me. I was caught up. Fast forwarded through everybody elses scenes, almost, just to get back to Lulu and Dominic. Wait, let me back up...ohhh.. when Lulu was held hostage and sitting on the bomb, crying, I bawled, I mean I was bawling with a television character and I was loving every minute of it and I was rooting for Dominic to find her in the nick of time and when he did. YEAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! I mean Jason's rescue of Sam...blahhh, been there done that a thousand times. I got nothin'. I kind of agreed with Lucky (which was cruel) but hey Sam signed up for the danger, and basically she shoots craps with her life every day that she steps out the door as Jason's sidekick and doormat, so hey her being collateral damage, I'm cool with it, and its not so riveting. But Lulu screaming for help and then in the final seconds, just giving up and resigning to die was phenomenal. I wished they had of shown Lulu's face when Dominic burst threw the doors to rescue her (like we always get to see Sam's "oh Jason I knew you would find me" recognition) but showing Lucky's despair over thinking his little sister died was...oh so good too. I'm getting to Jonathan Jackson but of course he deserves his own page (or pages) praise.  Let me wrap up this incoherent rambling, and Dominic fawning with this, I absolutely loved four weeks episodes of GH and it was solely due to the storyline of Dominic/Dante/Lulu. But now we are back. Back to Sonny propping, and the mob apologist bull.

I love Diane because she's a high paid attorney and she knows her boss is a mob boss, killer, criminal, idiot. No bones about it.  How in the world are they...nope let me not even say that because we all know TPTB don't believe the viewers have any intelligence that they need to appease. So Dominic/Dante is not going to press charges, the EXACT CHARGES that would definitely get Sonny locked up for years because ...( picture me with slumped shoulders, head down, sulking away) he doesn't want it to be personal. BUT IT IS!!! HE shot you in the freaking chest. This (supposedly) has always been personal! How ridiculous is that. Remember Lt. Paletti? The cop that stepped in and helped raise you when you were a young fatherless whelp running around Bensonhurst? That was your whole motivation to pin Sonny, and now you have a SOLID TIGHT SHUT case. Shooting a cop, is (how many freaking times did they tell us?!) Murder-Special Circumstances- LIFE! Or attempted murder, since he lived. But come on. That makes no sense that Dominic would back off. Senseless back peddling and character now ruined.

And then after having Lulu run around praising Sonny for weeks, she now sees the monster he really is...Wait? Is that only because she like Carly (and Sonny) is so self centered that it only matters when he hurts someone she loves.  So now that she loves Dominic, Sonny is horrid. Before when she was pushing Dominic away, Sonny wasn't so bad in her eyes...He was a good man..Remember the weeks of that bull? (Me again, angry, rolling eyes, and sucking teeth over that crap.)  Ugh I can't do this, I'm getting dizzy over all the circles. Ohhhh, I'm so mad that I allowed this dern show to do this too me! haaaaaa

I'll move on. Jonathan Jackson has rocked also. I wish they would keep Dominic (still on him- I just cant let it go yet-ha) as a great cop and make them partners so that they can run the mob out of town. Stop laughing at me. I know I'm deluded. But Lucky finding out about Liz and Nik has been good. Liz and Nik have been bad and kind of boring though RH has been giving it her all, you just didnt see sparks between them too (no matter how much dialogue was spewing from her to claim there was all this passion-pfffbbbtt).  Again Serial Drama said it all, I can't repeat greatness sogo there to see all the good raves on Lucky and JJ.

Carly leaving Jax over Sonny and the undercover cop knowledge. Again... Seriously? Jax take her to court, get sole custody of your daughter and move on. Please. Liked seeing Lady Jane and the christening was nice. Carly being nice to everybody and saying thanks for coming out. I don't know. Though LW rocks and is so beautiful it makes you mad, I just couldn't swallow it. They write Carly with whiplash reactions so I cant invest in her being half way decent. Hey here's a moment. When Jason asked Carly to ask Sonny to leave the country and he said to her "it always comes back to me, you and Sonny" I was like that is so freaking sick, sad and depressing and true. I mean the Guza basically tells us flat out his plans and we are fools for thinking it will be any other way. INSANITY! I tell you, insanity. Carly has everything she wants and yet she packs up her kids in a second and walks out on a happy life the second Jax doesnt do EVERYTHING that she wants. She tells him just two seconds earlier that she did something that will make him mad, but hey here it is, get over it. He tells her hey I did something too that will make you mad, she packs up and rolls out.  C'MON! He's better of without the shrew, harpy. I mean I love/hate my bad girl but if you are going to rewrite her into loving mother and supposedly heroine of the show, stop making her be a dern crazy flip flopping judgmental shrew. Guza hates women I know. That is his concept of a heroine, I forget. Poor thing. More thoughts on Carly, she has no friends, Jason is not her friend, so she forgives Olivia for basically the same thing that Jax did but Jax is worse? She runs up to Dante's bed side to comfort and guide (sickening) Lulu and no anger at Dominic at all for lying to her FACE for months and for setting up Sonny for the fall but ohhhh Jax who has a newborn and the care of your RAGGEDY rotten spoiled crazed children (well just Michael, Morgan is ok thus far) is soooo wrong. Ridiculous. Again..Out of the mouth of Guza or Jason as it be.. It always comes back to Jason, Sonny and Carly..No matter how ridiculous...and horrid.

I'm spent.

Later...Oh wait..Gotta end on a high note. Dominic is still YUMMY!!! haaaa..

Happy Thanksgiving..after the fact..

Hmm..So much to say ..So many thoughts. Where do I begin? Let's start off with something nice.

So GH REMEMBERED Thanksgiving this year! Yeah..That's a plus right there. Wednesday's episode was nice.

Okay thats all the good that I can come up. The rest is not totally hate, there's a mix of confusion and angst thrown in as well..

Sam. Disgusts me when she is with Jason! I just cannot tolerate the character consistently propping up Jason and the fact that he is a hitman. And again I must always state. I AM A JASON FAN. But I cannot stomach Sam teling him that he is good. He is not good. He's a killer. And no he doesnt just kill people who've got it coming (to quote Sonny) he kills WHOMEVER he is assigned to kill per orders. I hated Sam when they were together back in the day and rejoiced when they separated. I enjoyed..no wait. sorry thats too much. I was able to watch her with Lucky and I think that was do part to GV's fooiiiness (emphasis intentionally added). I then did begin to like her again when she gained some sense, some independence, relocated her spine, and got more involved with her sisters and her mother (the awesome Alexis). I even enjoy when she and Alexis dont get along and they bicker like mothers and daughters do..I cannot (sorry for the repetition) stand it when she flutters around Jason, unable to talk without wringing her hands or twirling her hair, or biting her lower lip. STOP ITTTTTTT!!! That is not innocent flirtation, she looks like an imbecile and it irks me to no end and I have to fast forward my Jason scenes. UGH the horror.

Another anger moment. So the writing is apparently on the wall (no pun intended regarding Franco, I'll get to that) about Johnny and Olivia's demise. Ugh, another Sonny tryst. I'm sorry but who in thier right minds would chose Sonny over Johnny? Brandon Barash has been rocking every scene, from anger to betrayal to grief back to smoldering sensuality. HE ROCKS! oh..sorry I'll calm down. Sonny just stutters, forgets his lines (sorry Maurice) blathers away and repeats the same dialogue every other week. Olivia was tolerable with Johnny Z, she'll be out on her end as soon as Sonny is finished..with that end per se. For further proof of this see his ex, her cousin Kate!

Please, please, please, IDIOTS in charge do not get rid of BB. He is awesome.

So whilst I'm fuming about the Falconeri's can anyone tell me why Dante would want Lulu? Her blathering is going to get him killed and I'm pissed to no end that Dante's going to turn and be an apologist for Sonny and the mob (but hey even though we prayed we - the fans- knew it was going to happen - so I've always been sort of waiting for that crap to drop, so eh I'm prepared for it I guess) but why Dante is even speaking to LULU is a complete mystery to me. Let alone still romantically inclined towards the idiot.

This chick, WHOSE BROTHER IS A COP, (sorry for yelling) runs to Sonny to shoot him hypothetical's..Uh.. so.. what if.. someone has information on you and uh...would you uh..like.. kill them?  Loving mob boss? How freaking stupid was that? So Sonny evades the question by asking his own questions (oh sorry he DID say he wouldn't kill her and Lucky due to Luke) but that conveniently left a bullseye on Dominic now didn't it? Ridiculous. The storyline, as usual, started good and now to accomodate the hallowed mob and Sonny is turning into a train wreck. Any and every where, they all discuss that Dominic/Dante is an undercover cop, now even Johhny knows (which I'm happy about if it gives him more storyline but still! C'mon). Let's count now, there's big mouth Jax, and can't handle her booze Kate, and Lulu is so completely off the hook I can't even locate an adjective to describe her, and his horrid friend/cop/partner whatever. He annoyed me so as well that I can't recall his name either. Consistently coming to Dante's hospital bed reminding him that he was a cop and BRINGING his badge to reMIND him of the fact.  My head hurts...

Nik and Liz. No comment. Not a fan but looking too see how it plays out.

Nu/old Lucky. JJ. Hmmm. I'm not enthralled.  The fact that he CONSTANTLY shakes his head (as if he's saying no to everything) when he conveys emotion IRKS THE FOOL out of me. I do think his acting is better than GV (don't know if thats due to the writing or not) but I now understand Lucky's motivations more. I feel the tension amidst him and his father's strained relationship. Though TG literally preens and smiles whenever they are in a scene together and its all over his face that he apparently prefers JJ. Geesh Tony.

JJ rocks his scenes with Elizabeth, I wasn't around for the youthful declarations of love but he makes me feel like I was there for the first go round. AND he's allowed to have some sense and be a GOOD no sorry a great cop. He actually finds clues and evidence and he interrogates Jason. I'm shocked and a little giddy. Again, I don't know if I like him or not because that twitching thing drives me to distraction, but the new strength of the "character" Lucky I am enjoying very much and if the credit is to be thrown at JJ's feet, then so be it. Kudos!

On to Franco! Yeah. An artist whose canvas is murder. Guza needs Jesus. He is seriously in need of deliverance and therapy. I enjoyed Franco and I was amused at the pet project, as they immediately threw him into scenes with all their big wigs. His scene with Benard was short and sweet. Thankfully. MB smiled, preened, and pimped out the door. Worked for me. Now that overly pretensious scene with Luke? What the hay? I was like huh? What in the world is Luke talking about? I mean I understood the words but I was like what the, why the, and who the heck wrote this crap? What was the point but to make sure they have screencaps of the legendary soap actor Tony Geary with the slumming movie star..LOL. Sorry, it was hilarious to me at TG's expense. Please Luke go back to imposing on the Quartermaines, that role suits you so much better.

Maxie and Franco. First of all. Girlfriend I aint mad at you. Hey I'm sorry. But if I was KS I would be thrilled out of my..socks! Ha to be allowed to "work" with him. And unlike many others who felt that this was a horrendous foolish move that basically torched the Spixie romance for nothing I disagree. Maxie is the "bad girl" that we love to hate and love to love because she is openly shallow, frank with Jason (!!!) consistently rips the mob and does not act as if they are anything but. She was redeemed from the horrendous pregnancy pillow, drug supplier to an addict storyline, to a much more soapy traditional adulterous affair. Though, recall her and Spinelli are not married. His heartbreak will spiral into an affair with another and they will separate and reconnect stronger then ever down the line..Eventually..Its much more interesting then them separating over her career.

Franco in general. I mean there's nothing to invest in. He's handsome, nice eye candy, a monkey in the wrench of a few relationships (probably Sonny's and Jason's mostly) but he'll be gone soon so why get worked up emotionally (IMO). Enjoy the view, while you can, he'll be gone soon and we will be back to mobfest at noon. But I must reiterate.

Guza seriously, he asked to be an artist. That was his only stipulation... and THIS CRAP is what you came up with. Hmmm...Let's see..You're big coo JJ is back and his woman, Liz,  is an artist. Wow. Look at that he could have interacted with Liz, and Lucky but no... You would rather have him drawing people with chalk outlines and taking pictures of Jason killing people. Again..Dude you need help!

Hot Couples..Not Couples

So I watched last night my DVR'ed episodes of GH. Again, unlike most of the GH posters, I enjoyed the show. Yes, its not the glory of the old days but once you put that dead dream to bed then you can begin to enjoy (tolerate) what we have now.

Johnny and Olivia are, wow, hotter than hot. WOW! Again. Though Johnny being completely oblivious to any connection at all between Dominic and Olivia, though Dominic is at her house almost as much as he is, is completely ridiculous. My kids all have some sort of resemblance to me, even the ones that look completely like there father have a little bit of me in there that folks can see. Johnny doesn't see any resemblance in this mother and son duo at all?! Though EVERYBODY all over town is going to start seeing all sorts of similarities between him and Sonny soon. Freakin' hilarious.

Dominic is awesome. Dominic calling Claudia on her bluff was great. Telling her that hey it was a win-win for him. Go head and tell Sonny that Olivia is his mother, works for him, either way the threat keeps her away from Johnny or the reveal will. Good move on his part. He rocks and he is so terribly charming with Lulu. It really makes me like her again, I mean like her as in when she first came on the show and looked just like Laura and was rocking all her scenes with her deadbeat dad, like. Yeah that's major. But alas I stopped watching for two years too so hey I got to miss some of her horrid over the top shrewness (that I read on the net).

Sam and Jason are still tolerable. Okay, I'll admit it, I am enjoying them too! I like the softer side of Jason leveling out the hitman crap. At first the whole set up with the pregnant lady in Devlin's old house collapsing, I thought was just too obviously leading us back down the "Sam lost her and Sonny's child" emotional cliff (which I tend to try to block out the fact that she was pregnant by Sonny at one time because that a). still makes me nauseous that her baby and her sister Kristina would have had the same father and b). still angers me that Jason was so willing to take in and shack and then fall in love with Sonny's floozy mistress who lived down the hall from his said wife that he cheated on at the time...breathe, breathe, breathe...haa thats me trying to calm down) but I found myself forgetting all that past crap that causes a bit of bile to rise and caught myself getting caught up in Sam's angst and Jason's attempt to comfort her. Wow, he immediately knew where Sam's mind was going, and that reminded me that he was the one who had to tell her that her baby died and he was the first one to hold her baby and was singing to her quietly, and I was a goner snotting and crying along with Sam. Anything emotional involving Jason can easily move me. I'm simple like that.

Liz/Lucky/Nik and kind of Rebecca and then Helena and Ethan. I appreciated Ethan being apologetic to Lucky at his surprise engagement party and I also liked him siding with Lucky immediately in the presence of conniving Helena, like a real brother would-hello Nikolas?! But I still loved Helena taunting Nikolas and Liz about their tawdry affair behind Lucky's back. She nailed them both (no pun intended) and it tickled me so that she was calling Liz all sorts of names and was quite right as a matter of fact. Liz is no sainted angel, like they paint her to be. I still like her but they are writing her in such a way that can make a viewer hate her IF she didnt in fact constantly admit that what she was doing to Lucky is extremely wrong and he deserves better.

LOVED Helena blatantly calling Rebecca a twit, and thoroughly enjoyed how stupid Rebecca looked and sounded trying to be cocky and claiming that Helena couldn't do anything about HER AND NIKOLAS. That was tear jerking funny. I called her an idiot right along with Helena. Poor child, is completely clueless, that no one, and apparently not even the writers, have any interest in her character any more. Nik has thoroughly moved on. To his brothers fiance, and dead soul mates best friend! Good times..ha ha ha..

I'm sorry I was disgusted at first, but now I've drunken the kool-aid that is GH, and I am now drawn into a possible Nik and Liz pairing, only because I know it will never work, and I am just looking forward to the good soapy fall outs in the interim. Once they are exposed and allowed to actually be together their will no longer be any "hot burning passion" between them. Trust me. Liz keeps saying "her and Lucky want the same things" and she's right. Nik doesn't even know where Spencer is half the time let alone care about spending time with family. Liz and Lucky are all about family and doing fun things together. So once the big betrayal reveal happens, their passion and longing will fizzle. And we will be left with good hurdles for Lucky and Liz and Nikolas to overcome (big elephant in the room!) to get back to loving each other and being close again.

Last but not least. Claudia and Sonny. Yeah, not so much. Her character is already ridiculous but having her constantly REASSURE Sonny that "she is so happy" to be his wife is downright naaaauseating. So ready for Claudia to exit stage left.

Oh, got to mention that I also enjoyed Olivia's meeting with Anthony Zacchara. She is a strong woman. What's in the water in Bensonhurst, geesh? But, my only thought during this interaction was that for a woman who wanted to keep her son away from violence and the mob ALL HIS LIFE, she is thoroughly entrenched in it now, with not the least bit of fear and or hesitation. Talk about a contradiction. Classic case of  Dante! Do as I say do and not as I do, if I ever saw one!

Thoughts on Last Week's shows..(October 12-16th)

Here is a hodge podge of miscellaneous quick thoughts. Do not expect rhyme or reason or even plain sense..Hmm much like GH itself. but onward ho..

Umm Did Kristina seriously say that Carly is a better mother than Alexis? I'm paraphrasing but that of course is the message that we were supposed to receive from her talk with Michael. I do feel for Kristina and I was mad, sad and a little tearful during that whole horrible "moment" with Keifer. But seriously are the viewers supposed to think that Alexis is horrid because she wants her daughters to NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES as she did growing up and  have her "girls (Sam included!) live safe happy lives. And Carly, seriously... Carly, who allows her kids to be raised by gangsters and carted around by hitman, and shoot hey even sleazy Coleman was okay last week to momentarily keep Morgan, is supposed to suddenly be super mom. Come on seriously? People I love to hate Carly, hey, she entertains me, but only when they keep characters clear and simple. Carly does not = model of great parenting. Sorry.

I did feel sorry for Sam when she was talking with her mom (Alexis), I can understand that she would be hurt and she would ASSUME that her mother doesn't love her, but Alexis made it clear that she DID indeed love Sam very much, but still did not approve of her sleeping and carousing around with mobsters and hitman. Still don't see where Alexis is wrong. Sam is grown and can do and screw whomever she wants, yes, BUT Molly and Kristina are not and a responsible parent -SEE ALEXIS- would tell her grown single child to not do certain things in front of adolescent and other teen children. Points her FOR ALEXIS not against. Geesh.

Enjoyed Johnny and Olivia being torn apart, and wanted to enjoy him being in agony a bit longer over loosing her, but alas, they will be back in each others arm soon enough, and I'm a bit disappointed. That's odd. I think, its Olivia, she's not making much sense. How can you preach to Dante, and yet be sleeping with fellow mobster co-hort who is said son's age? Too many contradictions; you want Dante away from mob but its okay to hop in bed with them because your the mom?  Eh? Never mind.

Helena and Luke amuse me. Ethan and Luke do not.

DIANE came back briefly. But what was up wit that horrendous hairdo? Yeesh. And a very clumsy attempt to explain her and Milo. The man was hit by a car! I don't care what arguments you had prior to this you immediately take your butt over to the hospital (is that where he is or has he been discharged yet?) and see him for yourself. I mean why use that small bit of screentime, (glad to have her back briefly from Cougartown!) she was in to have a meaningless conversation with Alexis when she could have had a truth telling, good soapy, oh I love you, I can't be with you but I had to make sure you were all-right moment with Milo which would have given us a wee bit of closure. Nope.

What's the point of Rebecca? Oh my gosh she's horrible and back to being Emily, but without the excellent Quartermaine history and connections. Her scenes with Nikolas are annoying and when he looks put out talking to her, I seriously imagine that Tyler Christopher just might really be annoyed. Her humming and umming and constantly stroking the side of his face and saying Nikolas over and over, is annoying me to no end.

Sam and Jason are cute, but Sam is slipping slowly back into ditz mode and loosing all the cground that she has recovered since their original breakup. I'm not a fan of Sam but I did PREFER her showing strength, and independence. When she talks to other people she can stand still and clearly make her points. When she talks to Jason...whats with all the hand waving and constant wiping of her face and flopping of her hair. Is Kelly Monaco attempting to convey flirtation? well if so KNOCK IT OFF..It's too over the top. Just talk to Jason like you've got some sense and lets enjoy them being repaired. And this is from someone who is NOT a Jasam fan, but a happy Jason makes me a happy viewer.

Ohhh yeah..quick point.

What in the world was that whole Sam is mistaken for a hooker scene and they get arrested crap about? That was pointless. And kind of insulting if you ask me. I read another blog that said that several of the writers on the GH staff were women, so why would they EVER allow some of these horrific women hating storylines be prtrayed...This scene brought that to mind. Why would the writers and directors and those running this show, think that having Sam be mistaken for a hooker would be great entertainment? The whole thing was pretty stupid. And insulting. I already said that didn't I? Here it is again, that was insulting GARBAGE.

Oh, the Carly, in labor, Coleman contraband french fries, and Johnny being hammered, scenes were funny, especially when Johnny was attempting to talk and Carly kept squeezing his hand during her contractions. That amused me and they seemed sweet for continuing to stick by her until Jax arrived. Which to me took too long? Why wasn't he immediately notified, instead of running behind Olivia making sure Dante stays on the case.

Enough.

Johnny's Pain

I havent blogged about GH in over two years.. I dropped the show and just read other blogs and posts to keep myself up to date on the latest news. So I recently tuned back in say three months ago and nothing much has changed. I can say I totally missed most of the Claudia fiasco and I am so happy for that but I am intrigued with Johhny and when I left he was the new bad boy in town and introduced as Lulu's new boy toy. But now he's involved in this wonderfully surprising romance with Olivia to which now I reach my point.

She was blackmailed into dumping him and Ohhhh...My goodness..I felt his pain. I was crying and snotting for him during the gutwrenching breakup that he had to endure. Poor Johnny! When he flew at Claudia ready to (and I quote) bash her head in I was like whooaaa too much..and then he explained that Olivia was his safe place, his getaway from the filth of the mob that is his life, I am not ashamed to say I teared up even more. I think Brandon Barash rocked those scenes. He sold it to me at least. And when he went back to Olivia's door to return her key and begging to know why she would do this, telling her to trust him and just let them deal with Claudia together (smart boy that he is knew that this was his sisters doing) I ached for Olivia to tell him about Dante. Alas she did not and Johnny left broken hearted and punching walls, inflicting further his pain on himself. Hey it moved me. As you can see from this post Im still moved. I woke up this morning thinking about Johnny Zacchara, and yes I am aware its a character and it is a show. But still, on the heels of a great non-wedding last week and great karaoke fun, the return to business as usual (i.e. the fixation on the mob and Sonny) I was happy to get enthralled in a soapy breakup. Now I just pray with Sarah Brown's impending exit that the TPTB do not seriously throw Olivia in Sonny's bed, because a) that will be the death of her character completely (see..Kate Howard) and b) Sonny should not always get the girl. Let somebody else win for once and I would love for it to be Johnny Zacchara!

In case your wondering. I still love Jason. Hate the mob, hate the hitman, still love Jason though. Im a mess.. HA!

Misc. Ramblings about GH and Night Shift

Good Day to you all.. Soo I've been watching GH and Nightshift and haven't had a chance to blog about it (them) in over a month but since I decided to up and quit my job, I'm pretty much available now!!! Let's get to it..

Sam and Jason have finally broken up! YEAHHHH...Uproarious celebration..I had to fast forward through the long drawn out event however and found no satisfaction in the breakup. It was horrifying listening to Sam justify all the horrific things that she had done, and no Jason is no angel, and has some fault in this mess, but Sam's mental makeup leaves me feeling disgusted. I must compare her to other notorious beloved bad girls, Maxie for example, has a slim concept that her manipulations and schemes are bad choices on her behalf and she is at least aware of her own failings. Carly who I love to hate, admits wholeheartedly to just being a selfish shrew and wanting everything her way. Even that I can stomach, and laugh at and mainly shake my head in mild annoyed amusement but Sam who blames everyone else for her behavior and choices, is just ...I've run through a gambit of desciptie adjectives with this wench and all I can say is she's just....ugh...to use the same overused terms: sickeningly sad... I want her written off the show already...But now she's on a revenge rampage and perhaps she will be more entertaining and her Cassadine roots can be explored thereby removing her completely from the Sonny/Jason cycle.

Speaking of which, I unashamedly and wholeheartedly admit to loving Jason and all the fineness that is Steve Burton.. But even I must say, come on already to Night Shift. Why give him another show? What is the point exactly of making Night Shift which was supposed to be about the hospital and the doctors just about Jason? Are you afraid that if you extracted Jason from Sonny's butt in the daytime show and gave him his own life and a different profession (janitor??? ha ha ha!) that the Corinthos clan will collapse. Please, it has already. Move on... Geesh..That's just ridiculous... Jason and Sonny must end, they must... Let them depart as friends but that regime has run its course PTB, let it go already... Remove Jason from the parallel universe (yeah right with the same dern storylines!) of Night Shift and keep the baby daddy crap on daytime and just write a better daytime show instead of pulling Jason's same, sad, sorry existing stories into another show... How ridiculous..

And since we are on the subject of desposing the mob mess, lets talk about taking Sonny in a different direction with Kate. She is great and I enjoy him in storylines with her... They are a good watchable couple. I was not mad (disappointed though) that they rushed them into bed already, which could have been suspended for a very long time drawing us further into their relationship development, but the manner in which they had Kate to withdraw again has salvaged it (somewhat). ONLY because they are keeping Kate as a strong independent character who is not subject to Sonny's (non-existent) charms and his panty dropping dimples (eyes rolling out of my head) does their story remain interesting. So far so good but as you know they are destined to ruin it, because the writers don't seem to care to tell a good story for daytime, they want to sling junk at us and say enjoy it...oops I digress.

See, that's why I stopped blogging, I was tired of listening to myself complain.

Lulu and Logan, more junk being slung at us. There is absolutely no reason that she should be running to him, to patch him up, to talk about the Q's, to do anything. He is a hot head and has no redeemable qualities. Lulu who is a smart girl (normally) should not be drawn to him. And the overt "bad boy" technique falls flat. Maxie and Logan have more chemistry. Speaking of Maxie she rocks, talk about being redeemed. She has chemistry with ALL the young men on the show and the tables should be reversed. Though I love Lulu, the writers should go with their strengths and have all the young men chase after Maxie, have Lulu be jealous of her for once. And give Georgie a love interest already. Why does Lulu have to have 4, 5 guys chasing her down, enough already. Why must the writers do overkill on certain characters. Are they just lazy?

Carly... please, oh, please Jax come back, because she is absolutely sickening and has nothing to do when you're gone. I like Sebastian Roche (Jerry Jax/Craig James/Number 1) and I don't hate his character, but they have again crumbled up garbage, thrown it at us and told us to enjoy it. That whole water conservation scene with Carly and Jax spraying Alexis with the water hose. Huh? The murderous, hostage taking, kidapping, psychotic manipulator CARES about water conservation, because though he blows up a building he cares about the drought conditions. Get a grip already. Seriously? At one time they promised to offer an explanation for Jerry's supposed altered behavior, now it appears that they have basically said, eh who cares. Take this and like it...which makes me in essence HATE IT!! Give him a purpose and perhaps a relationship with someone other than CARLY!!!!!! I did want him with Alexis but not without him having an explanation or at least a bit of remorse for his previous actions, now it would only serve to ruin Alexis.

Sam and Carly catfight. I thought it was sad and sadly lacking. For one, Carly (#3) and Sam had a catfight at the bar over Jason a while back and that was ten times better than this mess. Laura Wright can pull off the attitude, and the snarkiness, and the classlessness of Carly, but brawling is not her thing at all. And am I to believe that she won that fight, because now Sam's arm is bandaged. Carly clearly lost to me, and she being a whole, what foot taller than Sam at that. It was a waste. They should have just blah blah blahed at each other some more, and called it a day.. Their interchanges are annoying as well for a few reasons, 1) history is completely rewritten because Sam and Carly were almost friends at one point, Sam took care of Carly when she was having the breakdown, and she helped find her kids when they were kidnapped. No they weren't bosom buddies but they were not at each others throats like this. 2) Carly ran to Jason when he was breaking up with Sam, after she had been shot by Manny (and slept with RIC !!) and told Jason not to dump her, and she ran to Sam and told Sam how to hold on to Jason, so now why is Carly spewing mess like "I've always wanted you gone?" He should of dumped you a long time ago, yadda, yadda, yadda?" That was just last year folks, can you not remember that short while back? But its all fruitless anyhow...

Absolutely absurdness: (and again I must use the word SICKENING!!!!)
Why does Sam, when in a pinch, with the police or the media, keep screeching that she will have her "MOTHER" come down here and entangle them in legal paperwork for her purposes. The mother she doesnt take the time to contact, or see, or talk to at all...that mother??? She's like Carly she uses her "family" connections only when it suits her...

Carly and Jason are not best friends...Drop it already and stop having her SAY IT in every single solitary episode already!!!! What is the dern point??? Where are you going with this??? If you are going to put them back together, fine go ahead, but knock off this best friend foolishness. Carly is a horrible friend, and basically she annoys the crap out of Jason, though he is loyal to her out of some warped sense of obligation. I think he does it because of his mob affiliations, but she's married to Jax now and Jason is moving on to Liz, enough with this mess as well..With her as a friend, he would do better being sentenced to prison for life.

Come on GH try something new, you're already in the crapper, mix it up, drop the mob mess, stop these insane cyclical ties and change things up a bit...

Night Shift:
This is going to be brief. Episode one was good, it got me, I liked it. Episode two was a horrendous attempt at dealing with race relations. It was horrid and I cringed on several occasions at their misguided efforts. The actors had to be cringing when they spouted the lines. The grandmother storyline for that nurse (lamely delivered), Dr. Ford's comments (shudder), Stan (so not believable at all-rewrite please) and Billy Dee. so fine still, at age what 120? ha ha but why is he a Janitor?? Dr. Ford has to be the only black doctor in the place..They attempted to emulate Grey's Anatomy yet do they not watch the show??? EVER??? For one race relations aren't even mentioned which I love, because that speaks more in volumes than this drivel. The nurses are hmmm... be nice..not believable I'll say. And I live Epiphany, I do she's not Chandra Wilson at all...Lovingly introduced to us as "the Nazi".

ABC what the??? Ruining one show wasnt enough huh????

June 25th GH viewing notes

Father’s Day barbeque, Jax gets more attention then Sonny and a better gift, yadda yadda yadda, Baby Jake is still missing. Crying, wailing and astonishment…Tuesday’s episode Jason is brought in to see his lawyer, oh wow she’s not there but Liz is, and he gets all the details on baby Jake, and then... JASON VS. LUCKY WHOAAAAAAA…..that was good stuff!

When Jason shouted at Lucky to just leave if he wasn’t going to support Liz..wow…and Liz cowered behind Jason.. YUMMY. I likes this very, very much. I think Jason vs Lucky would be wonderful if they just didn’t turn Lucky into a pill popping blithering idiot to do it. Lucky is the one who has been mislead here, lied to and deceived and they need to capitalize on that. They will prop up Jason and make him look like the great saint (a fine sexy, oh so muscular saint he is!) for giving up his child but still Lucky is not wrong here, Jason and Liz are, and that needs to be fleshed out. Jason is still super sexy though when he stands up for a woman (who’s not actually his woman!) rrrrrrawwwwwlllll…

When Lucky slammed into the interrogation room and got in Jason’s face about telling Liz not to talk to Dr. Winters and Mac, I (who utterly adore and love the sexy Jason) was whooping and rooting for Lucky!! He has a valid point. If Liz refuses to talk, she looks guilty (see that’s why Jason doesn’t talk because he usually is guilty of said crime!!!) but if she had of been a willing participant, it would have eliminated her as a suspect. And I know that they are trying to paint Lucky as the jerk, and have him push Liz into Jason’s waiting arms, but yet again, I must side with Lucky here. No, he shouldn’t have blamed Liz but he is the (supposed!) father he has a right to panic, and feel mad, and feel upset, and angry, and lash out, because his (supposed!-ha ha) son has been kidnapped. For them to act like Lucky is ohhh so wrong for loosing it, is idiotic.

Here we go again with Lulu standing in the middle of somebody else’s living room shrieking about somebody else’s business. Just support your family and shut your mouth sweetheart.

Okay, Carly is across town being all emotional, spouting off about a non-existent Jerry after watching the TV report about the boy being kidnapped but that’s it. No call, no support, no jumping up and running over to the house, nothing. Um, where’s all that cuz’n crap that you were spouting to Lucky when you wanted to get into the interrogation room? Geesh.

Why is Lulu even entertaining conversation with Logan? It’s written all over her face that she loves Spinelli. Ohhh, is that where they are going with this. After she breaks Spinelli’s heart when she sleeps with (yuck!!) Logan, then she’ll realize her heart belongs to Spinelli. Okay.. Well at least Lulu isn’t INSTANTLY falling for Logan. As a matter of fact she treats him like gum on the bottom of her shoe most of the time, intriguing.

Sam having a delivery of baby clothes sent to the dern penthouse! All-right enough already. We get it, it obviously wasn’t her who kidnapped him, and she’ll be looking even more delusional down the line as to why she ordered these clothes when it comes out that she’s innocent. Bllecccchhh….

Funny to me, Jason says that he hates to do this..But in 2.9 seconds flat, he’s giving directions to tail Sam and tap her phone.. Ha..Sounds like you didn’t hate to do it at all, Jase.

Okay, they are making Lucky look like an absolute obnoxious jerk. Now he doesn’t even know Liz, wasn’t he and Liz together since they were kids, now he never really knew her or loved her? C’mon, you don’t have to massacre their history just to put her and Jason together temporarily. Sheesh.

Here we go more Jason propping (though I love him and want Liz to run to his understanding, forgiving, supporting, loving, protective, muscular, yummy arms!!!) I hate to see them do this to you Lucky.. and now more Lulu propping and Maxie deprivation.

Amelia’s two step and back peddling and double talk is frustrating and amusing all at the same time. One minute I hate her and want to smack her teeth out of her mouth the next, I love that she’s putting Sam through the ringer. I get it now. I’m the basket case, not the GH writers.. It’s me!!!

Jax is soo dern foinne.. Man, I just thought I needed to mention that!

I love Alexis. She’s such a good friend to Jax even though she cannot stand his current wife!
Keep in mind that I’m flypaper for the psychotics.” Funny line.

Maxie and Logan continuously discussing this stupid horrific bet to bed both girls is disgusting.

DIANE IS FAB-U-LOUS!!! Sonny must be paying her seven figures to put up with the Corinthos crap.

I admit it, I’m fickle. I hate the character of Sam, but I like good story telling and continuity so I don’t agree with Jason “turning” so quickly against her. He should have clung on longer than a week after hearing “the con” story. I know that his baby being kidnapped is heavily swaying his decision, but the character of Jason, if he’s anything, it's freaking loyal to a fault. Only after it was revealed that Sam actually stole the baby should he have dropped her like a hot potato. But hey let me stop complaining. I’m getting what I want.. MY Jason away from SAM!!! Yeah…

Oh no, that wasnt baby Jake..Ohhh Jason’s watery eyes move me!!! Along with his pecs!

Drunk Sam is freaking ridiculous!!!! Even more so than regular Sam. Drunk Sam getting ripped by Carly. Good times. Man, I can’t wait until Carly finds out about this kid either, she’s gonna loose it! She does secretly love and want Jason, he just doesn’t want her, that’s why she has regulated herself to being just his best friend. Ughhh, they sound so grade school when they constantly spout that crap. Jason and Carly are best friends. Grow up already, pleez..

Drunk Sam at Liz’s door. Ohh-kay. I like when these two go at it though because Liz is no shrinking violet, she puffs up and blows when pushed too far. Yeah Sam, just get out..and then she runs to the station to blurt (nothing!) to Lucky. Pffffttt..Sam, Sam go away don’t come back another day! (now who is acting grade school?!) tee hee.

Hey, where did the hotel get those huge wine goblets from. I want a set of those.

Wait if Jake didn’t cry when “someone” stole him then it couldn’t have been Sam. He screams and hollers every time her spastic tail comes near him!

What a lackluster apology from Lucky to Liz.

Thursday- I LOVED all the interchanges especially between Diane, Sonny and Spinelli (actually Diane and everyone!)..Just too many to write down..But

Diane to Sonny about Spinelli:
“You’ve gotta translate.” And her looks are priceless.

Quartermaines as usual are hilarious. After they have Tracey carted off to the looney bin, they sit in the living room just chillin’. Dillon realizes something is wrong with this picture and it’s the fact that his mother is missing from it. Too funny.

Lainey should take the deal that Tracey is offering her. A year’s worth of salary to get her out, where do I sign?

Logan should turn out to be Ric’s son. Now that would be interesting as well, seeing as how he’s so pressed to work for Sonny. And Amelia and Ric have chemistry as well, and the brother’s continually share women, so hey, why stop now. Just give Ric his own storyline already!

I’m sorry for that sharing women comment it was a particularly low brand of debauchery..ANYHOW….till next week!!!! HOLLA!!!!
